Ice569: f = 0.722; Flint#12:OK#1 = 2:1 (dry pack phi = 0.25)

Conditions: all steps P = 60 MPa
s = 30 MPa, T = 223 K step (1a), (1b), (1c)

Legend: top graph of each pair is motor speed V (i.e., edot), bottom is load. Top graph is the one to pay attention to. Translate V to edot thus: V0.05 ≈ 3e-8/s. Horizontal scale is time. 5000 pts ≈ 14 hrs.
e=0.0458 ~0630 2/3, nice clean start to step (1c). Looks like enhanced strain will be minimal.
  ~1400 hrs 2/2
e=0.0456 0845 hrs 2/2
e=0.0451 2030 hrs 2/1. Looks like the matter is still not settled...
e=0.0445
e=0.0437
e=0.0423 ~0630 hrs 1/31. Total strain enhancement from load cycling was <0.2%. That seems to be typical of the 2:1 sand mix, and significantly less than the ~0.5% that pure )K#1 gave us.
e=0.0414

step (1b) had a bit of a rocky start, settled down quickly tho. The excellent news is that the unloaded force gage reading was pretty much exactly where is was 72 hrs ago, meaning stress was truly flat during step (1a). With this kind of stability we can probably run step (1b) as long as we like.

And how long might that be?...

e=0.0387 ~1200 hrs 1/30. Right near the end of step (1a). It's been 72 hrs since zero was checked on the the force gage, and that has to be done. If there is still hardening, it is very close to zero. In fact, data may be sufficiently good over the past 48 hrs to measure d3e/dt3 (i.e., the rate of change of strain hardening) and project that e (t=infinity) = infinity. Mobility.
e=0.0385 ~0830 hrs 1/30
e=0.0373 ~2030 hrs 1/29
e=0.0359 0845 hrs 1/29. What does it take to prove mobility? We'll run another 24 hrs (at least) before unloading and enhancing any strain.
e=0.0342 2200 hrs 1/28
e = 0.032

1200 hrs 1/28. You see where the gears were changed to 100:1. Starting to look very different from 567 both in terms of current strain rate and rate of strain hardening.

e = 0.026 2300 hrs 1/27. Not hugely different from 567(1) so far, maybe rolling ~2x faster at this point.
e = 0.020 Got started ~ 4 hrs ago, 1300 hrs 1/27. 10:1 gears, so edot ~5e-7/s
